User Guide - Promotion Bar for Magento 2

General Configuration

Admin can configure the promotion bar settings under the Store > Configuration > Dolphin > Promotion Bar.

General Setting

Enabled: Choose Yes to enable the promotion bar module.

Promotion Bar Display Setting

Close Button:
- Choose Yes to show the Close button on the promotion bar
- Customers can manually remove the promotion bar from the frontend.
Multi Promotion Bar: Choose Yes to display multiple promotion bar on the frontend.
Display Type:
- Choose Display Type for promotion bar.
- There are two types of promotion bar you can add.
- Slider: If you want to display a promotion bar as a slider then choose this option.
- Separate: If you want to display a promotion bar as one by one separately then choose this option.
Change Bar Time:
- Enter the time to change the promotion bar after that particular time.
- Time will be added in the milliseconds.
- Default value is 5000 milliseconds.
Enable Slider Pagination: Choose enable the pagination for the slider.
Enable Slide Control: Choose Yes to enable the Previous and Next button on the promotion bar.
Auto Close After:
- Enter the time after that the promotion bar will automatically close.
- Enter 0 to disable the auto close option.
- Default value to auto close after is 0.
- [NOTE: Auto close after functionality will only work when the display type is set as Separate and the multi promotion bar is set as No.]

Manage Promotion Bars

You can see all the created promotion bars in the grid, for that go to Marketing > Promotion Bar.
You can see id, promotion name, store view, customer group, start date, end date, priority, position, enable, updated at, created date and actions such as edit and delete.

Mass Action

By using this extension you can apply mass Delete actions for multiple records in the grid.
Please follow the steps:
Select records by selecting the checkbox in the first column
Explore the Action field to choose to Delete the selected promotions.

Add New Promotion Bar

To add the new promotion bar click on the Add New Promotion button, there are three main sections General, Display and Design.

Add/Edit New Promotion Bar

Admin can add/edit the promotion bar by filling the following details.

General

Name: Enter the name for the promotion bar.
Store View: Select the store view on which you want to display the promotion bar.
Customer Group: Select for which customer group you want to display a promotion bar.
Start Date: Choose the starting date to display the promotion bar.
End Date: Choose the end date to remove the promotion bar form the frontend.
Priority: Enter a number to set the priority of the new promotion bar.
Enable: Choose Yes to enable the new promotion bar.

Display

Display On Page: Select the pages to display the promotion bar.
Category/Product: Choose to include or exclude the category/product.
- Include:
- Select Categories to Include Promotion bar in:
  - Select the categories to include the promotion bar.
  - Promotion bar will only display on included categories.
- Select Products to Include Promotion bar in: Select the products on which you want to display the promotion bar.
- Exclude:
- Select Categories to Exclude Promotion bar in:
  - Select the categories to exclude the promotion bar.
  - Promotion bar will only display on excluded categories.
- Select Products to Exclude Promotion bar in: Select the products on which you don’t want to display the promotion bar.
Position: Choose the position from the dropdown to display the promotion bar.

Design

Contents: Enter the content or upload an image to display on the promotion bar.
Background Color: Use the color picker to choose the background color for the promotion bar.
Text Align:
- Choose the alignment of the text from dropdown to display on the promotion bar.
- You can choose to display text on center, left or right.
