User Guide - Product Question and FAQ for Magento 2

General Configuration

Admin can configure product FAQs settings under the Store > Configuration > Dolphin > Product FAQ.

General Settings

Email Sender: Choose email address to send email.
New Question Email Receivers:
- Enter email address to receive new questions.
- You can enter multiple email addresses separated by comma(,).
Question Admin Email Template: Choose email template to send email to admins when customer asks questions.
Answer Email Template: Choose email template to send email to customer when admin answers their questions.
Customer Login Required: Choose Yes to make login required for customers to allow them to ask questions.
Questions per Page Allowed Values:
- Set the values to display questions per page.
- By default value is 5,10,15,20,25.
- Allowed values are separated by comma(,).
Questions per Page: Set value to display questions per page.
Questions Collapsible: Set Yes to display all answers as collapsible.
Enter Allow File Extension: Enter multiple extension types to be allowed for users.
Allow Ask Questions:
- Set Yes to allow users to ask questions.
- [NOTE: The product FAQ form will display on the frontend only if the value is set as Yes.]

Captcha Settings

Captcha Enable: Set Yes to Enable/Disable captcha for a specific store.
Select Captcha Type: You can choose captcha type.
- Captcha: If you want to display Default captcha of magento then choose this option.
- ReCaptcha: If you want to display Google captcha then choose this option.

Manage Questions

You can manage all the product questions/FAQs from the admin panel.
You can add, edit or view product questions/FAQs from that.
To see and manage product questions please go to Catalog > Dolphin - Product Questions/FAQ > Manage Questions.

View Questions

You can manage all questions on this convenient grid.
You can see a grid having information like question, answer, storeview, email, group, visibility and action.
Click on the Add New Question button to add a new question for the product.

Mass Actions

Delete: Select the questions you want to delete.
Activate: Select the questions you want to active.
Inactivate: Select the questions you want to inactivate.

Add/Edit Questions

In Form you can change information as follows:
Question: You can see the questions asked by the user.
Answer: You can submit the answer of the question which is asked by the user.
Store View: You can see from which store the customer asked the question.
Group:
- You can see a specific group of the questions.
- There are two groups: Specific Product and General.
Customer - Email: You can see the email of the customer.
Visibility: You can set the visibility of the question as public or private.
Products: If a customer asks a question for a specific product then you can see that product selected in the product grid.

Notify By Email

Keep yourself updated when any customer asks questions about the product. And also keep your customers informed when you respond to the question immediately.
Admin and customer both will notify by email when any question is asked or response is made about the product.

Notify Admin By Email

When a customer asks a question for any product then the admin will get a notification email.
You can choose a predefined email template for admin called Product Questions.

Notify Customer By Email

When the admin responds to customer’s questions, that specific customer will get an email notification.
You can choose a predefined email template for admin called Product Answer.

Frontend View

Question Form

You can see product FAQs form under the default tabs section on the product page called “Questions”.
Customers can directly ask anything about the product by submitting the form if they want.

Asked Questions

You can see all the questions related to that products in above tab called Questions.

Display Questions In My Account Page

You can see information about the questions asked by that particular customer.
You can see information such as:
- Product questions asked by the customer
- Answer given to that questions
- And product link, customer can directly go to that product page just with a single click.

VIew Question Details

when you click on the view link, then you can see the answer of the question and product link.
you can directly redirect to that product page by clicking on the page.
you can easily get back to the My Questions page just by clicking on the Back link.
