User Guide - Product Custom Tabs for Magento 2

General Configuration

Admin can configure product custom tabs settings under the Store > Configuration > Dolphin > Product Custom Tabs.

General Settings

Enable Product Custom Tabs: The admin can Enable/Disable extension for a specific store where this extension is not needed.

Default Tabs

Hide Detail Tab: Choose ‘Yes’ to hide the detail tab on the product page in the frontend.
Hide More Information Tab: Choose ‘Yes’ to hide the more information tab on the product page in the frontend.
Hide Reviews Tab: Choose ‘Yes’ to hide the reviews tab on the product page in the frontend.

Default Tabs Sort

Detail Tab Sort:
- Set the position of “detail tab” by entering the position at which you want to display tab in product tab.
- Default position for Detail Tab is 1.
More Information Tab Sort:
- Set the position of “more information tab” by entering the position at which you want to display tab in product tab.
- Default position for Detail Tab is 2.
Reviews Tab Sort:
- Set the position of “reviews tab” by entering the position at which you want to display tab in product tab.
- Default position for Detail Tab is 3.

Manage Product Custom Tabs

You can see a product custom grid under the Catalog > Dolphin - Product Tabs > Manage Product Tabs.
All the tabs including default tabs with all the information such as Tab Id, Title, Content, Visible for Purchasing Customers Only and Edit or Delete link.
Add New Tab: choose this button to create a new tab, you will be redirected to the tab edit page.

Mass Actions

By using this extension you can apply massDelete, Activate, and Inactivate actions for multiple product tabs in the grid.

Please follow the steps:

Select product tabs by checking box in the first column
Explore the Action field to choose to Delete, Activate, or Inactivate the selected tabs.

Add/Edit Product Custom Tabs

To Add new Tab click the Add new tab button.
To Edit the already created tab please click on the Edit link from the product custom tabs grid.
After that Edit tab page will be open, from where you can change the Product custom tab.
The product custom tab form is divided into four tabs.

Tab Information

Active: Choose Yes to Active the tab.
Title: Set tab title for custom tab.
Content: Edit content to display on the tab by using the WYSIWYG editor.
Position: Enter a number set sort order to the tab. The tab set small number will be displayed in the front position.
Visible for Purchasing Customers Only: Choose Yes to enable the tab for customers who purchased products only, or No to enable for all customers.

Stores and customer Groups

Customer Groups: Multiple-select customer groups, only selected customer groups can see the tab in the frontend.
Store View: Multiple-select Store views, Custom tabs will display only in selected stores.

Assign Attributes

Assign Attributes: Select product attributes in the tabs grid to display the attribute values of products on the tab.

Assign Tabs to the Product

Apply the condition rules to assign particular tabs to the product.
Click on the ‘+’ icon to explore the condition field.

Configurable Product Condition

Most amazing feature of this extension is that you can set tabs as per the condition in configurable products.
Particular tab will hide/show automatically when any child product will be satisfied with that condition.
As you can see in the above screenshot that Swatch Tab has the condition that it will not display when the color is Red.
When you deselect the Red color then that tab will automatically disappear.

Add condition Rule

You can see product attributes, attribute set and product categories and etc.
As you can see in the above image that Tab will be shown where "Attribute Set" is Default and "Category" is 2,20.
You can add various conditions to display created custom tab only under that particular product or category.
After selecting the condition, save the product tab.

View Tab in the Frontend

You can see the product custom tab added in the product detail page along with the default tabs.
You can create the same tabs like the default tab just by following the simple tabs.
