User Guide - Convert Guest To Customer for Magento 2

General Configuration

Admin can configure convert guests to customer settings under the Store > Configuration > Dolphin > Guest To Customer.

Guest To Register Customer

Enable Automatic Guest to Customer Account At Checkout:
- Set Yes to convert the guest to customer once they place an order as a guest.
- [NOTE: When any guest places an order as a guest they will automatically convert into a customer.]
Customer Group: Select customer group to assign converted customers.
Enable Create Customer Button in Sales Order admin:
- Choose Yes to display create customer button in the sales order admin.
- It will convert guests into the customer.

Notify By Email

Immediately when the guest converts into the customer, s/he will get an email notification on their given email id.
The email has the customer email id and password to login into the site.
Admin can also change their password through a given link in the email.

Manage Guest Customers

To manage the guest go to Customers > Guest To Customer > Manage Guest To Customer.
There is a list of guests who once ordered from the site, you can easily convert that guests into customers with just a one click.
You can click on the Create Customer link given in the actions column.
And if you want to convert more guests into customers then you can select and choose to create customers from the mass actions.

Create Customers From Orders

You can also create customers from the backend under the Sales > Orders go to edit order page and click on Create Customer button to convert guests into the customers.
